Developed 20 years ago, Clifford & Company, Inc. was created from an inspired vision. Out of a love for building and a commitment to hard work, it became the brainchild of Timothy D. Clifford. The company modestly established itself, by doing simple tenant improvements, room additions and single-family construction, but within a short period of time began tackling more challenging projects such as spec homes and light commercial projects. Now, our portfolio consists of condominium and apartment complexes, custom homes, tracts of single-family homes, mobile home parks, offices and commercial buildings.

In 1995, the company merged with Timberland Construction, Inc. to create a more diverse and multi-faceted construction company with services now including maintenance and builder customer service as well as construction-defect investigations. In 1997, Tim Clifford was offered an opportunity to expand his unique skills of business, organization and vision, to help the growth and expansion of the builder customer service industry into what it is today… an industry within an industry. He later joined Hammond & Masing Construction, Inc. out of San Diego, California to form HMC - Hammond, Masing & Clifford General Contractors, Inc.

At the conception of HMC, Hammond and Masing Construction, Inc. had been doing business for nine years with one office, eight clients and 30 employees. Within a three and a half year time frame, HMC grew to over 250 employees, four offices covering seven counties in California and with one in Nevada, and a 95 strong client base with gross receipts of $12 million annually.

Today, Tim Clifford has refocused his efforts to spearhead Clifford & Company, Inc. into the high tech era of the new millennium.
